This project consists of two main components working together to form a simple IoT based security system.
The first part involves the development of a microcontroller using an ESP32-CAM module. This device acts as a security camera capable of capturing images and uploading them to Firebase. It connects to a Wi-Fi network, takes pictures when triggered (motion detection), and then uploads these images to Firebase.
The second part of the project is a web application designed to retrieve and display the uploaded images from Firebase. This site offers a simple interface for users to browse through the camera’s captures. It uses Firebase SDKs to connect to both the storage and database, and includes authentication to restrict access.
The two repositories, one for the ESP32 firmware and one for the web interface, together form a basic yet functional IoT security camera system with cloud integration. This setup demonstrates how embedded systems and web technologies can be combined to create remote monitoring tools.
